Introduction

Metadata Workshops are designed to:

• Provide an understanding of metadata and good spatial data management practices
• Gain knowledge of the various metadata standards (ISO 19115, INSPIRE and UK GEMINI 2.1) for spatial data
• Introduce and explain the UK Academic Geospatial Metadata Application Profile Version 2.1 (UK AGMAP 2.1) and Guidelines
• Demonstrate the GoGeo portal
• Show how to use the Geodoc Metadata Editor Tool
